There are three main citation styles that your professors may want you to be familiar with: MLA, APA, and Chicago. Your professor will tell you which citation to use for your specific assignment.
MLA (Modern Language Association) is commonly used for English and Literature subjects.
APA (American Psychology Association) is often used for scientific publications, like medical or biological subjects.
Chicago Style is often used for historical or legal subjects.
