APA is not the same as MLA. APA format was developed by the American Psychological Association (thus "APA") and is used in professional writing for many disciplines. MLA, on the other hand, is a style guide developed by the Modern Language Association (MLA).

You can find information regarding both formats through the library's webpage <http://www.una.edu/library/orientation/instruction/onlineresourceshandouts.html> under "Citing Sources."

If you need more detailed information than you find there Collier Library has a copy of the 2010 edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association on reserve at the Circulation Desk under the call number LB2369 .P82 2010 copy 2.

If this response does not fully answer your need feel free to email again, contact the Collier Library Help Desk at 256-765-4469, or drop by the library in person for individual assistance.  Best of luck on your assignment.
